Project Responsibilities (include)
- Produce design and technical drawings.
- Produce presentation material, reports and models (ability to produce rendered images from 3D software desirable).
- Liaise with external consultants as appropriate.
- Maintain awareness of London Placemaking’s QA processes and adhere to them.
- Research materials and specifications, ensuring that where possible they adhere to London Placemaking’s ethos, quality and environmental policy.
- Participate in design debate, presentations and project reviews.
- Attend site as required to successfully deliver projects.
- Other tasks as reasonably required.
- Non-Project Responsibilities
- Ad hoc administrative duties as required.
- Develop and maintain an appropriate understanding of UK legislation, planning, construction and health and safety.
- Manage personal CPD.
Skills
- Ability to prioritise workload & meet deadlines.
- Good design eye / creativity with drawing skills by hand as well as CAD.
- Ability to communicate design ideas both verbally and visually.
- Knowledge of Revit is preferable.
- Knowledge of Sketchup or AutoCad.
- Knowledge of Adobe packages (indesign, photoshop, illustrator).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Qualifications
- RIBA or equivalent overseas qualification

You will have the opportunity to oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to completion, including managing timelines and resources, and working very closely with construction site teams.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Develop and refine architectural designs, ensuring they meet the whole team’s extreme design-led aspiration.
- Lead and mentor junior architects and technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and expectations.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building regulations, codes, and environmental guidelines.
- Prepare and review architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
- Monitor construction progress on site, ensuring that the project is built according to the design plans and specifications.
- Identify and resolve design and construction issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to the growth of the firm by identifying and pursuing new opportunities for innovative project and resource management and synergy with other departments.
