You will oversee / input into all aspects of a construction project from detailed design through to practical completion and beyond. You share responsibity for ensuring that your project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while managing resources, staff and stakeholders.

• Developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Creating and maintaining realistic project schedules, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
• Monitoring and controlling project costs, ensuring the project stays within budget.
• Securing necessary resources from sub-contractors and direct labour, including equipment and materials.
• Site Management:
• Ensuring efficient operations and adherence to safety regulations.
• Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure the project meets required standards.
• Supervising construction workers and subcontractors.
• Communicating effectively with architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Helping the commercial team to manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks that could impact the project.
• Resolving issues and problems that arise during the project.
• Preparing and maintaining project reports, tracking progress and highlighting any issues.

You will play a key role in overseeing multiple construction projects to ensure they align with organizational goals, managing resources, budgets, and timelines across the entire program, while also ensuring effective communication and stakeholder management.

• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive program plan, including scope, timelines, and resources.
• Helping to oversee the program's budget, ensuring that projects stay within allocated funds and identifying potential cost savings.
• Identifying and managing risks across the program, developing mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
• Helping to allocate resources (personnel, equipment, materials) across projects within the program, ensuring optimal utilization.
• Monitoring and tracking the progress of all projects within the program, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Managing changes to the program scope, schedule, or budget, ensuring that all parties are informed and that the changes are implemented effectively.
• Facilitating clear and consistent communication among all stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and other relevant parties.
• Providing regular reports to stakeholders on the progress of the program, highlighting key achievements and potential issues.
• Managing the relationships and dependencies between projects within the program, ensuring that they are coordinated effectively.
• Providing guidance and support to project managers, ensuring that they have the resources and tools they need to succeed.

You will be involved in overseeing and managing the financial aspects of our projects to ensure profitability.

• Overseeing project budgets, managing costs, and ensuring projects are completed within budget.
• Negotiating contracts, managing contractual risks, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
• Sourcing services and resources, negotiating with suppliers to secure the best possible costs.
• Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks.
• Providing regular financial reports to project managers, Directors and the Board.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Contributing to the development of commercial strategies to ensure the profitability and financial stability of projects.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, required to effectively manage budgets, contracts, and risks.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, required to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders.
• Considerable construction management experience in quantity surveying.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations: Ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
